Summer brings a new found desire to do fun things, visit with family and friends, take vacations, stay up late, and so on. Maybe it’s the sunshine giving us that extra dose of vitamin D happiness. Maybe it’s the increased flexibility in our schedules. Maybe it’s the warm temperatures warming our inner selves. Regardless, summer is an enjoyable time of year and lets make the most of it!
My kids began their summer break recently and while they were so excited for some increased freedom, I found them one afternoon walking aimlessly while muttering “I’m bored.” What? Already? So, I suggested that everyone sit down and create a personal summer bucket list – a list of things they wanted to be sure to do this summer. We had a great time creating our lists!
While my three kids shared much of the same things, they had a few of their own, unique items to include. They took their lists and hung them on their closet doors. Day after day, they are crossing off the things they complete.
